Regarding edits like this: I don't mean to be stepping on your toes, but you have to understand that I have no way of knowing if you are really Mel Davis. I could not immediately verify the information about Melanie, Marisa, and Shana, so I decided to remove it. It may very well be true, but unless we have a published source to verify the information, we just can't include it.

You were absolutely correct to remove the paragraph about Muwuli and Hubert Davis, since it appears that they were the sons of a different Mel Davis. I didn't add that paragraph to the article -- someone else did -- but I apologize that I didn't catch the error sooner.
