Player count[edit]

Um... This game DOES not have multiplayer support you know. --Reploidof20xx (talk) 04:28, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

but we don't know how many so we can't add that until we do. -Sukecchi 12:43, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
According to Atomic Fire, you can connect with up to six people as shown here. -DarkNexusAngel

Relation to EXE Series + Possible promotional area[edit]

I'm not really sure, but when browsing the rom tiles, I found graphics being similar to 3D model skins. The graphics resemble ACDC Town from EXE5, including a Higsby's sign. Also, there are graphics of the Honda and 7-11 logos, suggesting either there is/was planned to be a promotional 3D area. I have excerpts of the graphics, but I am yet to find additional proof.

There's really nothing much we can do with this...nice find though. -Sukecchi 02:01, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm personally curious as to why it says Higsby's and not Higure's. -Crimsonseiko 01:02, 20 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Very pleased[edit]

I just wanted to say I'm very happy with the way this page has turned around since the game came out. Just, something about it makes me happy to look at it. The FM headshots were a nice touch, I like them a lot, although I think we need a higher quality image depicting the mugshot creation process, I mean, Heat's mug was awesome, but it's in such a low quality because it was a picture of the screen. We need to work on that.

Back to the headshots, we need to make sure they have the proper copyright status, I'd hate to see them disappear. Hopefully the last three FMs will be in the next update so we can get the rest of them up.

Lets try to expand on the plot section a bit, I don't know how we can do that without it looking too big and full of unnecessary information. \o\~

And I've asked for this article to be assessed again, I think there's enough information to get it out of Stub class. -Sukecchi 14:28, 17 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

CVG Assessment[edit]

I'm here from the request for assessment at the CVG Assessment page. I have rated this article as Start-class, and here are a few tips to get it even better:

  1. The plot section needs to start out with the assumption that the reader has not played any Mega Man games, though most of it does pretty good.
  2. Gameplay- try to describe it with less comparisons to other Mega Man games.
  3. The rest- remove the trivia and cameos sections, and convert the NetNavis and Conversions sections to prose rather than lists, perhaps merging with the plot section. Also, get rid of the pictures going with every conversion; one or two is fine, but showing every single one is pushing it.
  4. References and Reception- try to find references for this article, as it's a crucial component for B-Class or higher. It's might be hard since the game is so new, btu try to make a reception section, saying what critics have said about the game (with refs). With the game only out in Japan, that might be difficult, though. Overall, good job on an article on a game so new! --PresN 18:38, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
3 is done....well, the image and trivia removal is. I'm not so sure about removing the Boktai cameo stuff...I'm sure the Rockman appearance can be moved somewhere else.-Sukecchi 20:59, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Welp, I rewrote a large chunk of the article. Added a "Premise" that overviews the setting, concepts, etc., as well as the series' placement and significance to the other Mega Man series to help establish it to readers who have never played a Mega Man game. Also elaborated on the Gameplay section a good deal to include all of the "assumed" gameplay elements that readers would only know about if they had played Battle Network games. I also retained the MegaMan.EXE and Boktai references in here because, well, they're kind of important. (I also added reference to the Takara merchandise.) Other than that, I tried to go through and change all references to EXE to the English name Battle Network. I'm out of juice now, so you guys can take the wheel from here. -Crimsonseiko 22:34, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Expanded on the Plot significantly, telling the entire game's story. This also includes all of the Radio Wave Conversions, thus allowing us to delete that section entirely and obliterate the list format we previously had. However, I admit that it's quite long, so I fully condone trimming it down for me. Just please don't omit any vital information (like characters). But if not trimming down on words, maybe adding some images would help. But, I admit, I don't have too good a source for screenshots, so I can't quite provide those myself. -Crimsonseiko 20:49, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
More! I expanded here and there on things like Side-Quests, but I also added a Reception article. So far, the only thing I think lacking there is having more actual scores (all I have is Famitsu right now). If anyone can find some more scores from credible sources, please add them to that section. (At least two more seems sufficient to me.) Other than that, we just need more references... And I still think we need some more images... not many, but the page needs livened up a smidgen. -Crimsonseiko 16:51, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Heh... I'm on a roll. Added some references. I need to check the publication date on Rockman Perfect Memories, and I'd like to get the ISBN, so if anyone can find it, I'll greatly appreciate it. Again, still need more scores for the game, and any screenshots (specifically ones of crucial plot moments to use for the Plot overview) would be greatly appreciated. -Crimsonseiko 17:22, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
So... how do we get this baby re-assessed? -Crimsonseiko 14:51, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Add it to the bottom of the assessment list, not the top; or contact me on my talk page...but anyways, it's a B now! I recommend sending it to Peer Review for more comments. --PresN 18:34, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Done~! I humbly thank you for your assistance~ -Sukecchi 21:05, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ofyukasu or Ohyukasu?[edit]

Now, I changed Ohyukasu to Ofyukasu because it said オュカス and not オュカス. Which is it, exactly? At ja:Wikipedia's episode listing they've got オヒュカス—we've オフュカス for the episode, but オヒュカス for the character…so which is it, exactly?—ウルタプ 01:56, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I cross-checked the episode title with the game guide. For some reason, the game lists it as Ohyukasu, while the episode title lists it as Ofyukasu. --Benten 02:02, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well that's certainly weird. I guess for now we should just use Ohyukasu in the game articles and Ofyukasu for the anime.—ウルタプ 02:06, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Just what I was thinking. --Benten 02:07, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Keiji Inafune will be in NYC on August 7th[edit]

Boxart Should be updated[edit]

The English verson's box art HAS been revealed at e-3. I believe that that boxart should replace the ryuusei no rockman boxart currently on display on this page because Ryuuse no rockman is already covered as a seperate section from Megaman Starforce on wikipedia.

Wi-Fi Compatability Controversy[edit]

An article located on the IGN website (found here: http://ds.ign.com/articles/804/804806p1.html) suggests that the north american version of the game is not wifi compatable.

"...but those who do link up with other gamers (ad-hoc only) will be able to add to their Brotherband."

I believe that this matter should be monitered closely and the inclusion of the game's Wi-Fi comaptibility in the wiki article should be concidered being temporarily removed until this matter is settled.

There's no proof. An official source, the Capcom press releases, states there is. They cancel each other out. We will wait. And besides, the Japanese version has Wi-fi. So it would be removing information. It stays. -Sukecchi 11:09, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

English Version of TV show available online[edit]

http://www.toonamijetstream.com has the first two episodes online in english. more will probably be added as time goes on, so the end of the 1st paragraph needs to be edited slightly.

Game has been released in North America[edit]

I've just updated the article to reflect this. - Admeister200x, August 7th.

Plot needs expansion[edit]

It needs a setting, something to describe the world where it takes place. I'm not good at describing this so someone has to do this.DragonZero (talk) 05:10, 13 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Which character's pages should be published?[edit]

Potential candidates should consist of Geo Stelar, Omega-Xis, Sonia Strumm, Luna Platz, Pat Sprigs, Solo, Hyde, Ace, Jack, Tia, Joker, Mr. King, Apollo Flame, and Sirius but there is a lack of info and sources as to how it would stand out.

Not to mention but should popularity dictate which character's pages should be established?

Does Star Force really need character's pages to be established at all at this period?

Deciding until unanimous vote.
