no mention of British order found[edit]

U-38 found sealed British orders on the ss wood field ordering merchant British vessels to attach German U-boats on sight. This would shed light on the later actions involving the ss Persia217.16.113.220 (talk) 09:01, 1 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In what way? What relevance does the advice given by the Admiralty (merchant captains don't take orders from the RN) on how merchants should defend themselves have any bearing on why Valentiner sank the Persia?
