Was she a United States citizen in later life? The article doesn't indicate that, but I believe she was a naturalised American. She lived in the USA for many years, and her widower is American. If anyone can confirm her change of citizenship, please do so in the article, and add relevant categories. Werdnawerdna (talk) 01:06, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

She became a U.S. citizen by dint of her American spouse as per then-immigration law. Also her entry at the Social Security Death Index at ancestry.com confirms this. She didn't remain in the U.S. from 1930 to 1997 without becoming a citizen, although she was entitled to British and Irish citizenship as well, based on her circumstances. But, as a matter of fact, the lede you changed was (and is) carefully worded and referred (refers) to her as being U.S.-based not an Irish-American. So you had no grounds to change the lede as it was entirely accurate. She was based in the USA. Quis separabit? 18:21, 17 August 2012 (UTC)

Why does the article state that she had an affair with her Tarzan co-star with no request for citation/evidence, yet the section where it states she grew tired of the role of Jane and was concerned about being typecast require one when she's on record as saying almost exactly that, word for word in the interview on the Tarzan MGM boxset? She also talks about JM, saying they only went on a date once, and that was because MGM made them. Orbtastic (talk) 15:43, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

Merged categories

The later career and personal life items seem to merge at the end. They really should be separated trezjr (talk) 13:05, 25 June 2010 (UTC)

Picture inaccurate

I believe the picture shown at the top of the article on maureen o'sullivan is in fact the actress maureen o'hara. See other pictures of her vs o'sullivan. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.108.165.176 (talk) 23:11, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
