The IPA is currently [ˈmacɛj ˈkovaːr̝]. Since this is given as a narrow transcription of the name in isolation there should technically be word-final devoicing of [r̝] to [r̝̊] (see e.g. Czech phonology). I added this tweak but this is being disputed by GiantSnowman. Stephen MUFC (talk) 21:58, 9 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I initially removed it because there was a discrepancy between what was originally there and what you changed it to. I wish it to remain removed whilst it (either iteration) remains unsourced. GiantSnowman 22:10, 9 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The discrepancy was the addition of a single diacritic to indicate what is really a technicality. I wish it to remain since it is trivial to transcribe into IPA given that Czech orthography and phonology line up very simply. Please consult Czech phonology and Czech orthography for information on this. Stephen MUFC (talk) 22:12, 9 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not using Wikipedia as reference, I only used those pages as a convenient way to show you that I am not adding anything that is controversial etc. Any book on Czech phonology/orthography will tell you that this combination of graphemes will lead to the IPA transcription given - would one of those suffice in your opinion? I think the height listed should be updated from the current listed height of 1.83 metres to 1.96 metres Marko1111111 (talk) 17:27, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
