I've rewritten the article enough to be able to re-arrange it so the emphasis is on the film not the play, as this is the film page. I don't know enough to say whether the play is notable and in need of a page of its own. Perhaps someone else would like to make a call on that. I haven't rewritten the "essence" of the article, just enough for the rearrangement. It could be improved on further in terms of style by someone interested in or familiar with the film.
