Removed COI tag because Mark Nelson has acknowledged his conflict of interest and agreed to follow related guidelines on his talk page. Changes he made in 2017 have been checked for NPOV. Gab4gab (talk) 18:15, 26 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
All right, I'll leave it at that. Acknowledgement of a COI is not the point though: this is not a UW. But I trust the article is OK as is. Cheers Superp (talk) 19:00, 26 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Gab4gab, I don't know who checked Nelson's additions, but they are not neutral at all. He basically added plugs for his consulting business, poorly referenced, and self-aggrandizing. I intend to to edit this article more thoroughly in the coming week. I suggest you read Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mark Nelson (scientist) carefully and then compare this version with his. He had no business whatsoever editing this article. Voceditenore (talk) 20:13, 26 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Update. I have restored the article to its version prior to the intervention by its subject, Mark Nelson (talk · contribs), with some exceptions:
    • I have kept mention of his participation in two Institute of Ecotechnics projects, minus the verbiage and with better references.
    • I also kept the image uploaded by Nelson of him taking soil samples.
I have pruned the list of publications back to the essentials, ditto the external links. Voceditenore (talk) 08:34, 27 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
