We need a picture, and some common-sense[edit]

When I started this page I added a picture of Marika under fair-use. It's an album cover. Recently somebody deleted that image and it seems there's some boring and illogical lawyer stuff to be considered, which I refuse to consider because I am living my life in pursuit of happiness.

Of course, in Wikipedia terms, he's probably right and I surely will not be entering into an edit war with him or anyone else.

We can imagine artists everywhere going nuts because people publish pictures of their album covers online. How could they do such a thing?! What a breach of privacy! And what's more, my lawyer tells me I am a "living person"!

Yeah, right.

So, can somebody take a picture of her? Or talk to her and get her to post a picture of herself saying it's free to use?

How Wikipedia works[edit]

Is this how Wikipedia is supposed to operate, because I think not?: "I work in Marika's management team - the new album campaign is coming up, so I updated some out-of-date information, and removed irrelevant information that Marika does not want on this page. All changes have been approved by her and by her management team." Taken from an edit summary of 4 June 2019; previous edits by this person removed a large quantity of adequately-sourced material which, although they may consider it "irrelevant" (possibly because an older brother in the music business, Bedales and acquaintance with Cara Delevingne don't quite tally with "cool" musicianship in their minds/ carry connotations of "elitism" or nepotism?), is perfectly encyclopaedic and need not have been removed. Wikipedia must not become the kind of place that this kind of vanity editing is encouraged or endorsed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.2.120.54 (talk) 12:39, 28 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Completely agreed. Plenty of interesting text was just removed and the reasons presented definitely don't hold. What's with removing the entire section on "Music style and influences"??? Callmepgr (talk) 18:12, 10 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
