Speedy Deletion[edit]

Mari Yoriko Sabusawa was a great influence in many areas of the US culture. She defended interracial marriage, was a proponent in the 1956 Hungarian Revolution and she advocated for the preservation of fine art. She was more than the third wife to James A. Michener. She was the brainwork and influence for many of his novels. They both traveled and researched material for his books. After she died in 1994, he made the conscious decision to be taken off dialysis. He died three years later. They were married for 39 years and never had children. However, their relationship was monumental in the creativity of Michener. Many of his life's decisions were based on Mari's comments and thoughts. It is obvious how intertwined these two people were. To give up on life because your life partner is gone from this world, this shows the dedication James Michener had to his wife and it shows how pivotal Mari was to James.

It is the author's opinion that this article does not meet the requirements of a speedy deletion. Mari Yoriko Sabusawa is a signigficant individual to US history. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mattalexchav (talk • contribs) 07:48, 2 March 2006
