Agree. I was little surprised a few years back that he did not already have an article. His participation in the Concert for George tribute is what I believe makes him notable enough. --RacerX11 Talk to meStalk me 20:11, 30 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because of Marc Mann's significant contributions to popular music. In particular, his collaborations with Jeff Lynne, Electric Light Orchestra, former Beatles. Current omission of Wikipedia information on Marc Mann is unfair - most of his collaborators do for Concert for George already have Wikipedia articles.

Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because...we are currently adding content and sources. Initial research suggests Marc Mann has a more notable music career than I had suspected. --RacerX11 Talk to meStalk me 21:06, 30 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Collaborators[edit]

Anyone wondering how he managed to land that gig at concert for George may be interested in this. He is credited with "Digital Editing, Keyboards, Recorder" on George's album Brainwashed, but look at the other musicians also credited. It's most of the band that would become "George's Band" for the Concert for George. Interesting, and evidently how he happened to be right place, right time to get on that exclusive list of musicians on stage that night. Not sure how or if we could use this in article though. What do you think?. --RacerX11 Talk to meStalk me 20:57, 30 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Academic Degree[edit]

The article seems focused on his work in the field of Rock Music. I suggest you add his academic background. Marc Mann holds a B.A. and a Master of Music degree from U.C.L.A. He is also a choral conductor and composer, having been hired as an assistant conductor for U.C.L.A. by Donn Weiss, Head of the Choral Department at that university.
