What makes this a notable island?[edit]

Thanks for this. As I understand it, this Island is not ...
  1. A Populated, legally-recognized place, nor
  2. A Populated place without legal recognition, nor
  3. A Disputed region, nor
  4. A Named natural feature where information beyond statistics and coordinates is given in the article.
Comparing this to the example in the guideline you quote (a river island with no information available except the name and the location should probably be described in the article on the river), this is a coral island with no information available other than the location and sovereignty that should be described in the article about the archipelago. - ¢Spender1983 (talk) 03:51, 17 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
