Czechslovakian origin[edit]

The history section contains:

Malin was formed in 1909 by a colonizing group of Czechoslovakian immigrants who were searching for a place where they could farm and raise their families. Many surviving descendants of these original Czech families still call Malin home and maintain family farms.

Since there was no Czechoslovakia in 1909 (formed October 1918), this statement might mean several things:

  • A group from the Austria–Hungary area which would become Czechoslovakia did this
  • The year is inaccurate
  • "Original Czech families" confuses what is meant historically

Obviously some work is needed here. A citation or two would help a lot. —EncMstr (talk) 18:29, 22 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
