Magnetosheath location[edit]

"The Earth's magnetosheath typically occupies the region of space approximately 10 Earth radii on the upwind (Sun-facing) side of the planet, extending significantly farther out on the downwind side due to the pressure of the solar wind." Could this sentence be improved on? In it's current state, it seems to imply that the magnetosheath extends until 10Re above the Earth's surface but I think the intention is that it extends 10 Re beyond the subsolar magnetopause location.

Also, this paragraph discusses the location of the Earth's magnetosheath, but the provided reference is for Saturn. I only quickly skimmed this paper's introduction, but I'm not convinced that properties of Saturn's magnetosheath can be directly applied to the Earth - it would be good to have a reference here that specifically addresses the Earth's magnetosheath 128.214.138.137 (talk) 13:16, 17 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
