MTV Flanders is the Flemish version of video transmitter MTV. The MTV audience is somewhat older than that of tTV, and focuses more on alternative music.

MTV Europe[edit]

Since 1987, in Flanders MTV Europe broadcast. All programs were Video jockeys from various European countries presented in the English. Similarly, Marcel Vanthilt VJ on MTV from 1987 to 1990.

MTV Netherlands[edit]

In February 2004, MTV Europe and was replaced MTV Netherlands on Flemish cable. Unlike MTV Netherlands, in the Netherlands 24/24 hour broadcast, sent MTV Netherlands from 18 hours to 06 hours on the channel where Nickelodeon Flanders daytime exceptions. MTV was when Dutch programming, but Flemish commercial breaks. Thus came the commercials and programs never equal in Flanders. On December 1, 2006 was broadcast on MTV in 3 hours shortened, because Nickelodeon Flanders additional broadcast time was 3 hours, until MTV began to broadcast from 20 hours to five hours in the morning.

Flemish-orientated MTV[edit]

In December 2008, the MTV style of custom and one could speak of becoming a Flemish MTV. In 2009, the program gradually different. In April 2009 there was also an MTV chat like this for years with TMF Flanders is. MTV in July 2009 was again thrown into a new style, same as other European MTV channels. And gradually it seems the programming of MTV and MTV Flanders Netherlands no longer together. In January 2010 MTV Flanders was also a private site and is no longer sent to the Dutch. Also, since 2010 the launch of MTV 20 hours, the first 2 programs from MTV and TMF Flanders Flanders announced. That is happening at TMF Flanders. In September 2010 is also the first Flemish MTV Program: TUCS (Tasty Urban Crazy Stuff). This is presented by StuBru DJ Schoeters Siska.

Extension MTV Flanders[edit]

On May 31, 2011 by MTV Networks Belgium announced that MTV & Nickelodeon Flanders will broadcast both around the clock, which means they are no longer a channel will share. This means that by October 1, 2011 MTV Flanders fully digital and can be seen no longer the analogue TV offering occurs. Nickelodeon, the time left on the analog TV channel to take.
