Talk:MSX character set

This page lists control codes instead of the character set... Those are different things. Control codes should not be part of the character set, only the glyphs should be shown, very similar to the linked to Code_page_437 article. The table as depicted in the MSX Technical Databook page 317 and 318 should be used as a reference. See also https://www.msx.org/forum/msx-talk/msx-resource-center/wiki-editing-discussion?page=40

The point of the 0x01 prefix is only valid to produce these characters from MSX-BASIC. It is again not related to the codes of the character set. These codes can be found in VRAM: the value in VRAM (in BASIC screen 0) corresponds to the character code as shown in the MSX Technical Databook.

Note that most characters which could not be mapped are now included in a proposal for an upcoming Unicode version. See http://www.unicode.org/L2/L2019/19025-terminals-prop.pdf (it has an attachment with the details).
