Proposed merge with Sultanate of Sulu[edit]

Most of Lupah Sug is discussing the early history of the Sultanate of Sulu – I'm by no means an expert on the history of Southeast Asia, but it seems like it may be appropriate to merge the articles. signed, Rosguill talk 22:00, 8 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose on the grounds that 200 years of history in the region is likely to be independently notable. I think that the history/background in Sultanate of Sulu#Pre-establishment could be considered a reasonable summary which then leads on to the more detailed Lupah Sug page. Just a hint to the name Al-Makdoum[edit]

Al-Maktoum is a generic name of an arabic clan of the eastern arabic coast, the rulers of Dubai are from Al-Maktoum family. Maybe there were relations? Trade relations, as the first muslims were told a law that every grown-up muslim should do the Hadj travel to Mekka minimum one time in his life, and they spread the knowledge that there is a fine insular region, now known as "The Philippines"? - AxelKing (talk) 15:44, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
