Time to remove "personal perspective" template?[edit]

Although the article could use more supporting links (and I will continue to work on those), I think that sufficient supported facts have been added to this page since 2012 that the "personal perspective" template at the top could be removed. I tracked down support for a couple of the statements, including the box score for the game with Babe Ruth, and inserted them. I have ordered the book his SABR bio author referenced frequently, so I should be able to support some of the other statements within two weeks and will attempt to focus it more on his overall career and life and less on anecdotes. Sounds like a plan. In other news, I noticed that the essay template (what you referred to as "personal perspective" template) was added in 2012 by a 64.85 dynamic IP. In case you drop by before I finish: I've done some work on the Playing Career section. I plan to move some of the Legacy material (with supporting endnotes) up to the Playing Career section, delete anything I can't find support for, and add a few facts regarding his post-playing life.
