Regarding the first two singles.[edit]

However, here's the problem. It's not fair to consider either of the first or second single, because they were released on the same day at the same time. So, My Time is not the second single, it's the first, along with Throw It in the Bag. 76.127.235.42 (talk) 20:19, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Singles can and are able to be released on the same day and be separate singles. For example, "If I Were a Boy" and "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" were both released on the same day, but the former is the first single, while the latter is the second single. Samples[edit]

I fail to understand why the samples need to have references.

Many other wiki articles citing samples do not have references. Yet is is normally obvious listening to the two that one is a sample of the other. There is often not articles on the internet that show such things, yet If MP3's or the like were to be uploaded to prove this point would it not be piracy? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.154.34.221 (talk) 22:20, 11 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Mainly because the threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth. The fact that other articles do not include references for samples is not an issue in this article. If a song samples another, this is often verifiable from music reviews or something of the like. If the album's booklet verifies the samples, that can be used as a source. No one is asking for uploads to prove that there is a sample, it just needs to be cited. — ξ ^xplicit 23:48, 11 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've added references to two of the three samples. I can't use whosampled.com because the videos used were uploaded on YouTube as copyright infringements, as the uploaders do not hold the copyrights to the songs.
