1st Ld Lt of new county[edit]

It appears to be the case that Admiral Holland-Martin became the first lord lieutenant of the new county on 1 April 1974 (see the London Gazette: No 46257 of 5 April 1974, p 4505) - but I am reluctant to change this without knowing on what basis the current list was prepared. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.8.104.74 (talk) 18:20, 17 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
