Spammer

I just got an unsolicted email from livingsocial.com. The article should skip all the details and just state that they are email spammers. David A se (talk) 20:53, 21 May 2011 (UTC)

I am suddenly recieving spam trying to trick me into buying coupons from this company... I think the unsolicited e-mails should be mentioned on the page as well. Many searches for this company will be related to such. 173.171.25.19 (talk)

Flag removal recommendation

Hi community - I'm recommending that this page's flag for "may be written like an advertisement" be taken down. There are a couple reasons behind my suggestion. One is that the information LivingSocial and its product categories is written in an objective and unbiased perspective. Topics such as data points, product descriptors, and financials are all verifiable with independent, third-party sources unaffiliated with the company. Web links are embedded in the page so that users can see where pieces of information were drawn from, if they so choose. Also, this article is not written in a promotional manner. I support Wikipedia's goal to host encyclopedic-like articles only, and believe this page is neutral and balanced.

I am interested in hearing what other people think and welcome any feedback on how to make this page better! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Elizabeth.hebda (talkcontribs) 14:26, 2 November 2011 (UTC)

Suggestion for flag removal

Hi community, I'm also proposing that we take down the April 2011 flag saying that this page "provides insufficient context for those unfamiliar with the subject." Since this flag was raised, edits have been made to the introduction which I think satisfy writing guidelines. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Eahebda9 (talkcontribs) 18:37, 9 November 2011 (UTC)

The opening paragraph summarizes what LivingSocial is in an easy-to-read, high-level digestible way. The company's main product areas are outlined so that the reader is prepared for more detail throughout the body of the page. the most important points of the article. If people are not familiar with crowdsourcing or crowdsourced discounts, they can click on the term to learn more about the subject, as it is linked to another Wikipedia page.

I am open to discussing ways to better the page's introduction if anyone has ideas! Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Eahebda9 (talkcontribs) 18:51, 9 November 2011 (UTC)

Seriously?

Is this a joke? This is the worst Wikipedia article I've ever seen. I'm not an editor, just a reader. This whole article is nothing but an advertisement. The opening is a complete joke. I hope this will be fixed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.161.56.186 (talk) 03:23, 1 December 2012 (UTC)
