Best place to mention TV film?

I'd like to include a mention of the 1981 TV-movie Crisis at Central High (no article yet), but I couldn't decide where it would fit best. Everywhere in the paragraphs about the crisis that I could think to insert a mention, it seemed to mess up a really good paragraph; on the other hand, it would look strange to give the mention its own line. Of course, I could simply add a link under "external links" to go to the IMDb page about the movie, if it doesn't fit anywhere else. Please leave any suggestions on my talk page. Update: I've now created an article for the docudrama. It still might be nice to have a line about that within the article. Lawikitejana 16:56, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

Proposed moving back to "Little Rock Central High School"

"Little Rock Central High School" is the full title given on the school's official web page (lrcentralhigh.org), on its front entry, on its seal, and on everything else I can see there. If the name is set to be changed, we should wait until it actually is changed. There are 117 links to the name "Little Rock Central High School," so it's an important article and shouldn't be moved if the name of the school has not been changed officially. I tried to move it back, but it wouldn't work because the old article has an edit history, so I have now followed the procedure for the move to be carried out by an administrator. Main page moved, just waiting for Talk page to move now

Update: An admin deleted the title of the Main page, so I was able to complete that move; however, this associated Talk page is still classified under "Central Int'l Studies HS" until an admin comes along and fixes the Talk page redirect as well. So it should all be fixed up soon. Lawikitejana 16:56, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

Official School Name

Actually, the official full name is "Central International Studies High School." This is the name given to by the Little Rock School District and is listed as this name under Central's LRSD website. [1] The abbreviated form is "Little Rock Central High School" and is often referred to this by the people of Little Rock.

Then let's go by the common name. --mav 22:16, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
Besides, these [2] and [3] use Little Rock Central High School. WhisperToMe 00:49, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Coverthepix lrchs2003.jpg

Image:Coverthepix lrchs2003.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

SECME

what!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.233.125.158 (talk) 16:18, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

Would someone please be kind enough to explain SECME? The article would benefit from either an explanation or link; or at the very least, an expansion of the acronym at its first occurrence as in WP:MOS#Acronyms_and_abbreviations. RexxS (talk) 01:18, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

SECME runs annual competitions under the banner "SECME Olympiad". I've linked to the relevant section of the article on that organisation. --Sturm 10:42, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

Inaccurate Citation of Judicial Authority

According to the article, "[n]ine African-American students, known as the Little Rock Nine, were denied entrance to the school in defiance of the 1954 U.S. Supreme Court ruling ordering integration of public schools."

This is not accurate, and the material cited in the footnote does not support the statement. Neither Brown I nor Brown II had anything to do with the schools in Little Rock, Arkansas, and Brown II did not command anyone to integrate. It merely directed the dismantling of the old segregated system with "all deliberate speed." The materials that are cited in the footnote disclose that the name of the case pertaining to Central High School in Little Rock was Cooper v. Aaron.

Wheelchair accessible?

I think it would be important to mention the school's wheelchair accesibility? 60.234.109.104 (talk) 01:41, 15 March 2010 (UTC)

Need Better Photo

LRCHS is a big building. None of the photos in this article -- nor in Google Images -- do justice to its size by showing the whole building. It is one-half of an octagon and the wings on each side are seldom shown. I saw one in Images that shows one wing, but not both. Does anyone have a full photo (or can someone take a good one)?Cab.jones (talk) 22:19, 15 September 2010 (UTC).

Feel free to find better images that are either not copyrighted or otherwise fall under fair use, upload them, and let us take a look. Cresix (talk) 23:09, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
