Genuine attempt[edit]

To me "under this camouflage" implies that the Little Major was explicitly a "warning" as described earlier in the lead or it was generally recognized as a satire or parody. Is that right?

Who used the system in the 1964 tournament? If a pair of its co-authors used it, that pertains to its nature "under camouflage". --P64 (talk) 00:13, 14 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am not sure what the source was for the "camouflage" comment. That material was extracted from the previous section in the Terence Reese article and was unsourced. The reference to the preparations for the 1964 Olympiads is from Reese's Bridge at the Top, page 114 but he does not state who used the Little Major in compettion nor where nor does he give an exact date when it's license was withdrawn "after two years" which reference is on page 115 of the same book. Upon reflection, the camouflage comment should be replaced as offending the NPOV. I shall have at go at it. Newwhist (talk) 00:55, 14 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Super!
I have overburdened a single edit where I should have saved more than once. You should check whether I have correctly moved note 2 one line downward ("That project"). Where I revised to "abandoned entirely" it should say "abandoned by Reese" if that seems to be the point. --P64 (talk) 19:52, 14 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
