Peruvian passenger boat Adresito, Iquitos-Puritoyacu route ferry with 209 people onboard, collision with a local cargo ship in Amazon River, Iquitos, Peru, at least 75 people are rescued and 134 people are drowned. ^{[citation needed]}

Myanmarese double decker boat Sein San Pya, Moulnein-Kyondo route ferry with 241 people onboard, capsized in Gyaing River, Myanmar, and at least 25 people are rescued, but at least 216 people are drown. ^{[citation needed]}
