Tickle-U and Out Of Jimmy's Head

The Tickle-U block ran on Boomerang on a few occasions in 2005 and Out Of Jimmy's Head ran for a week in 2007, so please do not remove the shows from the list! This is a warning. So don't delete this talk page.--12.216.113.216 (talk) 09:27, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

Ben 10: Alien Force

Since when is Alien Force on Boomerang? Who keeps putting it on the list? It needs to stop now! --Alonso Torrejon (talk) 11:08, 16 October 2011 (UTC)

Joshua Raymond Hahn: After the end of the original Ben 10. I am. NO! It needs to stop doing the original Ben 10 all night and month long.

Do we really need this section? Such a section is just the place for people to insert original research or otherwise unsourced rubbish. Actually, this entire article is probably original research, but at least a section like "Current programming" can be checked for accuracy by people who have Boomerang on their channel lineup (like me).

Actually, people's TV guides (such as the one I have on Time Warner Cable) may allow them to check the programming lineup of channels up to a certain distance in the future. Mine allows me to see the lineup up to 7 days in the future. Perhaps the "Upcoming Programming" section could be added close to the end of months to show what shows might be added to the lineup at the beginning of the upcoming month, but I believe the section should not exist at any other time. Boomerang's lineup seems to be quite consistent within each month. I believe that any "Upcoming programming" section should only see about a week into the future, where the actual listed future appearance of shows might actually be verifiable in the same manner as the "Current programming" section, but any shows listed with a returning date later than a week should be removed as original research/unsourced claims.

Thoughts, please?

Thanks!

I'd say it's necessary for those curious. It's prone to severe wishful thinking, I'll say! I would like to know how and where the info comes from, as I could just as easily waltz in and edit the page to say "'SWAT Kats' is reairing starting March 1 at 6 PM EST, alongside 'Ben 10' and 'My Little Pony Tales'". They could likely air in that spot, and they could just as likely not. But, at the end of the day, who cares? :P 173.72.136.103 (talk) 02:23, 8 February 2012 (UTC)

Ben 10: Alien Force is not coming to Boomerang!

How many times does some clown keep putting Ben 10: Alien Force on the list of Boomerang shows! It needs to stop! --Alonso Torrejon (talk) 00:02, 23 March 2012 (UTC)

Joshua Raymond Hahn: Mind your own emotions. You're a BIG fat clown. That's how I have to warn Boomerang, NO FURTHER Origianl Ben 10 All Night and month long. Take a look and see it for yourself on boomerang-from-cartoon-network.wikia.com/wiki/Ben_10_marathon

Style of article

Do we really need to put tables in the current programming area of this article? I know it allows storage for more information, but this would mean there would need to be constant adjustments made, and the end result would just be a mess. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.53.83.234 (talk) 01:41, 29 January 2013 (UTC)

Missing Info

As of right now, Richie Rich needs to be added to current programs.

I say keep this section on and whenever something needs to be added or removed, a wikipedian can make sure they have the right years to edit the table instead of any old person who could vandalize it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.171.176.170 (talk) 02:51, 13 August 2013 (UTC)

No references, problem with original research

I have removed all of the past shows because there are no references available to support such claims. I have also removed the time frame of each current show, because there are no references available to establish when the show was first broadcast by Boomerang. This was a very big change, but necessary in light of the hard policies about WP:Verifiability and WP:No original research.

To help the article survive in any form, I added a reference to current programming. Binksternet (talk) 23:18, 7 April 2014 (UTC)

The article clearly said that this is a list of show that currently airs and formally aired on Boomerang. By removing those former shows, you made it sound like they didn't air on Boomerang at all. - FilmandTVFan28 (talk) 23:29, 7 April 2014 (UTC)
What proof do you have that they aired? WP:V must be followed. I am perfectly happy to restore every entry if it has a reference to support it. Binksternet (talk) 23:45, 7 April 2014 (UTC)
Again, this is a WP:Verifiability problem. The WP:BURDEN is on you, the person "who adds or restores material". If you have no way to verify the entries then they should be deleted. Binksternet (talk) 15:36, 8 April 2014 (UTC)
In case you never noticed, this similar problem was already solved a few years ago, and I don't know why are you bringing it back, but it has got to stop. Also, we do not pin a problem on someone else. That's against Wikipedia's policy. I am already stressed out right now so just stop it. - FilmandTVFan28 (talk) 18:29, 8 April 2014 (UTC)
Very interesting that you think the problem was solved years ago. Can you point me to that discussion?
The way I see it, the problem is with this article violating Wikipedia's foundational pillar, that WP:No original research can be published here. There's no way that this article can continue in the form you prefer, having lots of previously unpublished information. Binksternet (talk) 08:00, 12 April 2014 (UTC)
I understand you don't like how the list is written, but I would appreciate if you stop editing this. AngusWOOF is trying fix it and I'm trying to keep it clean. Also, you need to learn to stop jumping to conclusions all the time about a user. I am highly offended about being called a user who writes unsourced information all the time which I don't. If you can't say something nice about someone, don't say anything at all. - FilmandTVFan28 (talk) 08:31, 12 April 2014 (UTC)
Stop re-adding unsourced text and I will stop telling you that you are an editor who writes unsourced information. It is that simple. Binksternet (talk) 08:34, 12 April 2014 (UTC)
No, you should stop it and we are not going to argue this. - FilmandTVFan28 (talk) 08:38, 12 April 2014 (UTC)
I suggest commenting out the years for the programming as they still need to be verified but provide a useful point where to look at for television programming guides, except for programs that were already listed with the launch of Boomerang. Leave the ones where the premiere/acquisition date is referenced properly. -AngusWOOF (talk) 14:56, 11 April 2014 (UTC), updated 15:30, 11 April 2014 (UTC)
Regarding the years listed, it should not show the original years from the 1960s-1990s. It's clear Turner has archives to Hanna Barbera's material since the conception of the channel, implying they can broadcast it from 2000-present whenever, and aren't renting the material from a third-party vendor. I have removed it from the Turner list, suggest other categories be similarly done -AngusWOOF (talk) 15:03, 11 April 2014 (UTC), update -15:30, 11 April 2014 (UTC)
I see that you commented out the years but this compromise has no future—the years are not going to be referenced until there is a source for them, and there isn't. Binksternet (talk) 07:55, 12 April 2014 (UTC)
As an outside comment to this. I understand the logic behind why such a change is made in terms of what the "rules" are, but from a practicality stand point this seems to pretty much cripple the article in terms of use. It doesn't help that this list was a target for vandalism and lazy journalism already had many of times this and the cartoon network list to include shows that Turner/WB had never owned, illustrates the problem. But in the same vein now the only thing you have to source this list is what is current. And if that is all you had to offer, this page's function is obsolete and should just be renamed to "List of programs currently broadcast by Boomerang". But point being made at this juncture, these kind of edits make Wikipedia's pages far less of an actual useful tool. I'll refrain from some critiques on others to other pages, but as a user of this site, i'm confused at how the rules are in favor of stripping pages to have less helpful information is the good change.69.171.176.178 (talk) 17:09, 12 April 2014 (UTC)
I have to agree. AngusWOOF and I are trying to find source for the former shows that aired on Boomerang and it doesn't help if this user keeps on removing instead of waiting patiently for it to finished. - FilmandTVFan28 (talk) 18:28, 12 April 2014 (UTC)

Ugh

This article is hideous now, too many external links, and it is more unsourced than before (I don't recall The New Tom and Jerry Show 2014 ever airing). Why can't we go back to the old format where instead of the time they aired on Boom (ex: Dexter's Lab 2006-present) the dates are just for their first runs (Dexter's Lab 1996-2003) again? Pacmansonic138 (talk) 01:44, 4 May 2014 (UTC)

How is it more unsourced? If you remove the references, you're stuck with having to remove all the entries again. There's no point in showing their original airdates as that has nothing to do with this article, but more for List of works produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions. -AngusWOOF (talk) 01:52, 4 May 2014 (UTC)
If you'd like to not see references in the list, try Help:Reference display customization. They have some code to hide all the in-text citations. -AngusWOOF (talk) 02:01, 4 May 2014 (UTC)
Thanks to whoever put the effort to add all the sources, the article is a thousand times better now. Also the time they aired on Boom is what is important to this article. STATic message me! 03:42, 4 May 2014 (UTC)

Grojband

Grojband also aired on June 25th, 2013, but that infromation is not listed. Please list it. Also, new episodes of Grojband aired on Boomerang from February 28th, 2015 until April 12th, 2015. Therefore, it should be a "first-run program". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.129.234.157 (talk) 19:37, 27 April 2016 (UTC)

Semi-protected edit request on 28 April 2016

Grojband had new episodes shown on Boomerang in 2015, so it should be a "first-run acquired program", not a "syndicated program in re-runs". Also, Grojband aired on Boomerang on June 25, 2013, so that should be listed[1]

Edit request for the Mobile Content section

I previously added Courage the Cowardly Dog and Camp Lazlo to the Mobile Content section because they were available on the subscription service, but why were my edits undone?

Camp Lazlo's first day on the app was May 12, 2017[1] while Courage the Cowardly Dog had been on the app since launch.

I was just trying to contribute to this article, so I would like to request permission to add them back.

--MatthewRC (talk) 13:19, 16 March 2018 (UTC)

--JMSFanofCartoons They were removed because the "Mobile content" section is only for shows that have so far ONLY been made avalible on Boomerang's subscription service. Courage the Cowardly Dog aired on the Boomerang channel from 2009 to 2017, and Camp Lazlo aired on the Boomerang channel in 2014, so they shouldn't be on that section because they alreday aired on the Boomerang channel. If you take a look at the "former programming" section, you'll notice that all the shows that used to air on the Boomerang channel that are now on the subscription service are marked with an asterisk (*), which indicates that the program is now on Boomerang's subscription service. And sure enough, Courage and Camp Lazlo are marked with an asterisk. —Preceding undated comment added 14:31, 19 June 2018 (UTC)

Removing Sources

I've noticed that many users have removed sources that prove that a show has been broadcast by Boomerang once those shows move from the "current programming" section to the "former programming" section, even when the source isn't a dead link, so I have to readd those sources back to the page. It's really annoying and takes up a lot of extra time for me to do this, so please don't remove sources from the page, unless they are a dead link.

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 21:54, 8 July 2021 (UTC)

Does anybody know how to fix Boomerang's schedule at TVPassport.com?

Please note that Yabba Dabba Dinosaurs will now be on HBO MAX rather the Boomerang SVOD. Please remove the show from the upcoming programming list! http://www.solzyatthemovies.com/2021/08/19/hbo-max-coming-and-leaving-in-september-2021/ 75.118.102.249 (talk) 20:18, 19 August 2021 (UTC)

Question: Is there any sourcing saying it will no longer be on Boomerang? ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 11:04, 20 August 2021 (UTC)
Answer: No, there is some sourcing saying that the following show The Boss Baby: Back in Business should be added on the list. HaydenDavidMartin (talk) 06:17, 27 May 2022 (UTC)
