Murder[edit]

I think murder should also be included as a subheader - should anyone find any notable murder victims to include. Rklawton 16:12, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Efficiency...?[edit]

I think that this article is really a preposterous endeavor. The number of people in history who have died by hanging is enormous, probably hundreds of millions. It is my opinion that this is a waste of time... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.224.77.38 (talk) 23:37, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Old comment, but I do agree -- it should at least be restricted to a specific time period (i.e. after 1900). --Tyrannus Mundi (talk) 20:49, 1 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Also, why in the poop is Rudolph Hess not on this list? --99.251.71.24 (talk) 00:51, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Why is the list of suicides sorted from oldest to most recent while the list of executions is sorted from most recent to oldest? Might a sortable table format be better? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.85.207.54 (talk) 11:53, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Would Alexandre Cazes be relevant for this list?[edit]

Founder of AlphaBay, committed suicide after being arrested [1]. Chaptagai (talk) 20:00, 2 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

accidental asphyxiation[edit]

How about actor David Carradine?[2] --ArcticGravyTrain (talk) 16:45, 14 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

List order[edit]

Why exactly are the suicidees listed chronologically and those executed the other way round? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dziewięćsił (talkcontribs) 17:04, 31 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Lynching[edit]

Shouldn’t there be a third section for lynchings as hanging was a common method of lynching? 2604:3D08:A580:8F00:85D1:4290:7A78:BCD1 (talk) 00:27, 15 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
