Spinoza vs. Locke[edit]

Correct me if I am wrong, but my understanding was that John Locke was the father of liberalism and not Spinoza. Perhaps they both deserve to be present on this list rather than one or the other. Also, Spinoza is, to my knowledge, the father of Spinozism. Crazymantis91 (talk) 18:13, 27 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

George Clinton as the father of funk? Not James Brown?

I think Max Weber, Emile Durkheim would be appropriate for Sociology, and Malinowski for Anthropology. 203.219.79.48 (talk) 07:21, 10 April 2010 (UTC) Greg[reply]

There seems to be a common misconception that Ozzy Osbourne invented Heavy Metal music on Wikipedia. Tony Iommi, lead guitarist for Black Sabbath, is the inventor of Heavy Metal. I'm still new so I'm not sure how to post a link or anything but this is said in Guitar World's list of 100 Greatest Heavy Metal Guitarists and "100 Greatest Metal Guitarists" by Joel McIver. Both sources give solid reasons and this also reflects my personal opinion as well as the opinion of many others (the google result for "Tony Iommi invented metal").--Bibizou (talk) 05:56, 19 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
