Scope of list[edit]

What about, for example, WPFW, which splits its programming between music and public affairs (more toward the former)? Most, but not all, of its music programming is jazz (schedule). Presumably most if not all of these stations do break for news now and then (and/or sports, if the station is affiliated with a school). Where should we draw the line? Or what about stations that also broadcast in HD Radio, where one of the sideband channels (but not the main analog frequency) has an all-jazz format? (For example WWNO3) -- Gyrofrog (talk) 22:32, 12 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

WPFW looks lie a good one to add. As I said in the head, the list is likely incomplete... I listed the Boise stations as also on HD, but it was the only one that was clear on the HD freq., where a couple of others were indicated as "also in HD," but no other indication was given... Why isn't 90.9 KTSU-FM Houston on the list? While KTSU has a variety format that includes reggae, gospel, R&B, and blues, the station plays more jazz than anything else. Or is the list for 100% jazz stations? -- Wikigameshow (talk) 06:07, 25 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Wikigameshow: (If you're still reading/editing) I'd lean toward including it, myself. Also (speaking of Texas), I'd suggest KAZI; less sure about KUTX. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 22:27, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

In light of some recent edits, I'd suggest that we apply WP:WTAF for individual entries on this list; otherwise, we should cite a source that is not the station's own website. (And, I believe, this is pretty much what WP:LISTCOMPANY says.) Might as well link to WP:SOURCELIST while I'm here -- and WP:ADV. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 22:22, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Call letters only in table?[edit]

KNKX is widely known as Jazz24 (streaming). Should this be indicated somehow? Thanks. Jo3sampl (talk) 00:53, 6 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

According to that station's article, it's on the HD2 channel (perhaps streaming is in addition to that). I'll update the call letters, like how someone did for WIPR. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 15:33, 6 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
