Combining visits[edit]

Since the format of this article is very similar to Pope Francis' trips list, I was planning of combining every visit, which here is currently listed per country, into per journey, similar to what has already been done with Pope Francis' list. For better understanding of what I'm talking about:

Listing per country (current):

China (November 9 to 11, 2014)

President Aquino attended the 26th APEC Summit in Beijing.

Myanmar (November 11 to 13, 2014)

President Aquino attended the 25th ASEAN Summit and the 9th East Asia Summit in Naypyidaw.

Whereas, listing per journey (proposed):

China and Myanmar (November 9 to 13, 2014)

President Aquino traveled to Beijing to attend the 26th APEC Summit from November 9 to 11. After, he headed to Naypyidaw to attend the 9th East Asia Summit from November 11 to 13.

As shown above, this proposal would make it easier to connect information regarding travel from one country to another in a journey, rather than having to break information onto another subsection. Additionally, it would also make it easier to write any related information, like background information on how the trips were announced (rather than writing the same information on each subsection pertaining to a country visited on a journey), like what is shown in Pope Francis' list as the first few sentences of some of his journeys. I'm new with editing in Wikipedia, so I'd appreciate feedback from the more experienced:

Would it be good to add here a section on the list of investment trips by international presidents to the Philippines during PNoy's term? Or is there such an existing list that can be merged here?

If someone can point me to the best way to do that, I could :-)

This page is for visits by President Aquino to other countries. Visits from other countries to the Phillipines don't appear to belong here. --David Biddulph (talk) 02:47, 16 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
