Part of a set of Samples of typefaces[edit]

Oppose deletion This list of display typefaces is part of a set of lists, and should not be deleted. There is certainly room for improvement in every one of these lists, including much missing information, but the samples are useful for webmasters. Here is the rest of the set:

This list is not an orphan, there are seven links to it, including the five above. --DThomsen8 (talk) 22:02, 10 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That's a walled garden, six articles linking to each other does not alter the orphan state. Darrenhusted (talk) 22:23, 10 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose deletion I find this list useful. Diego Torquemada (talk) 01:55, 11 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Read WP:ITSUSEFUL. Darrenhusted (talk) 10:12, 11 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Strongly oppose Why is this article not listed on its proposal date? Why are this discussion not taking place in the usual location? This article is provides illustration for typeface without adding clutter there. ⇔ ChristTrekker 19:38, 14 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's not an AfD, and Wikipedia is not an place for indicriminate lists, especially ones that don't even show what they are meant to be showing. Darrenhusted (talk) 20:42, 14 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Strongly oppose This article is a useful source of info and should be improved rather than deleted. --Fremte (talk) 03:27, 16 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Removed the deletion notice. There is only one for delete with 4 against. The article is 'useful' in the sense of useful info and WP:ITSUSEFUL does not apply. Improvement, not deletion - intro can be added. Further Wikipedia:Orphan suggests it be de-orphaned not deleted. --Fremte (talk) 03:34, 16 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The "Horizon font" sample Supposedly the font "sample" page showing the "Horizon" font, supposedly from the Bauer firm, bears an uncanny likeness (if not EXACTLY the same!) to what has been on our television screens for what will be fifty years as of September 8 of this year...none other than the exact style of the lettering used for the credits and title of the most famous TV science fiction series from the United States, Star Trek: The Original Series. When I spotted this page earlier today, I did an immediate comparison with what I long ago (1996) purchased for my home computer, from the actual Bitstream "Trek" font collection, and have had that exact font on my Windows PCs ever since.

Action Is/Groovy Happening JNL[edit]

There should be an article on Wikipedia involving the popular font "Action Is". https://fontsinuse.com/typefaces/99685/action-is FlapjackRulez (talk) 00:41, 4 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
