Total import and export

Total world import in 2014 was 18.791 bln, total export was 17.779. How is it possible? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.227.215.155 (talk) 10:34, 16 February 2016 (UTC)

The references are mostly broken and out of date on this list and the export one, so it's hard to tell where they came from. Based on the wiki syntax, it looks like the world total on here was taken from some sort of United Nations publication and the exports taken from the CIA. As such, there are likely to be different methods and time frames. Jolly Ω Janner 07:14, 25 March 2016 (UTC)

Double flags

There's a couple of very strong reasons why two flags should not be used:

  1. The purpose of flags is to make it easier to locate a country within the list. This works much the same way as branding for company logos. Having an EU flag draws my eye to the EU and thus decreases the ease of referencing, since my eyes/brain now need to process a second flag.
  2. There's no reasons or explanation as to why they would be used. This creates huge ambiguity. The use of the EU flag makes me wonder whether it's put there to signify that Germany's imports only use data from within other EU countries or perhaps the reverse that EU imports to Germany are excluded.

I will remove them in due course. Jolly Ω Janner 22:15, 24 March 2016 (UTC)
