Can you add the group of O2l: Connor Franta, Jc Caylen, Kian Lawley, Sam Pottorff, Ricky Dillon, Trevor Moran? Howdyitsnatalie (talk) 19:31, 12 July 2013 (UTC)

Chris Smoove

I think you should add Chris Smoove on the grounds of he has 1,024,158 subscribers and 299,052,667 views. His channel is youtube.com/chrissmoove. He commentates on different video games such as Nba 2k, Fifa, Call of Duty, The Last of Us, The Walking Dead, etc. His account name is Smoove7182954. He is hilarious and has autotuned adlibs. SO ADD CHRIS SMOOVE!!! SPLLAASSSHHHHH!!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cbanks123 (talkcontribs) 16:18, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

Kyle Myers/ FPSRussia has a new channel

He made a gaming channel called fps (http://www.youtube.com/fps). He has no videos yet, but he announced it on PKA, which we should also mention he is a co-host of. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.188.197.22 (talk) 06:32, 19 August 2013 (UTC)

Most people reading this Talk page are not you, and most don't know that your "PKA" stands for Painkiller Already. Most also don't know in which episode of that podcast Myers supposedly mentions his new channel. Even if you're referring to a recent episode, these videos are approx. 4 hours each, so it would be too much work to verify your claim. You're a(n anonymous) person making a claim we cannot verify. --82.170.113.123 (talk) 00:04, 21 August 2013 (UTC)
It was episode 142, most people who watch PKA don't know that it stands for Painkiller Already, so calling it so makes no sense, and you're on Wikipedia, you have a lot more time than you think.24.188.197.22 (talk) 12:01, 23 August 2013 (UTC)

Adding Joey Graceffa and Meghan Camarena

These two participated in season 22 of The Amazing Race, and CBS has them in their cast list here: http://www.cbs.com/shows/amazing_race/cast/205054/

Obviously they appear where the cast list has been posted in the news (such as http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/01/23/the-amazing-race-cast-season-22-teams_n_2533675.html), but the article does actually note them outside of the standard list/bio of all the contestants.

Since Joey's Draw My Life video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjnBPSBmVIo) reveals his name as Joseph Michael Graceffa, he should probably be listed as 'Joseph "Joey" Michael Graceffa', as he is in List of The Amazing Race (U.S. TV series) contestants. His accounts are 'JoeyGraceffa' and 'JoeyGraceffaGames'.

Meghan should probably be listed just as Meghan Camarena. Her accounts are 'Strawburry17' and 'LifeBurry'. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.11.222.89 (talk) 23:14, 23 August 2013 (UTC)

View counts and subscriber numbers is not enough to warrant adding someone. The first link doesn't showcase notability. They just post a video like a blog post with a little bit of text. The fasttocreate.com article is an interview. Doesn't showcase notability. The third link doesn't showcase notability. It just talks about his new show. Sorry about that. I wasn't sure what constituted as a reliable source. I added 2 more sources to my edit. One from TechCrunch, and one from the Los Angeles Times. By the way, I'm kind of a newbie, so I don't exactly know the "proper way" to reply to comments here.

References are a bit of an odd duck on talk pages. It's actually more efficient to just post the link with brackets instead of references, or wrap it in No Wiki tags.
Therefore the references are clearly visible. Also, when replying you usually put colons at the beginning of each line to symbolize an indent. So your reply should have had two in front of it (::) to cause a proper indent. I think there's a guide to talk pages somewhere...Otherwise, I'll let Sam handle this one since he already replied. Alphabetical per first name or last name

I-J is consistently sorted by first name, whereas A-H is a mix between first name and last name sorting. I suggest the list be uniformly sorted by first name. Best, Sam Sailor Sing 11:38, 10 April 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for undoing my edit that took 2 hours.

In cultures where family names are written after given names, it is usually still desired to sort lists of names (as in telephone directories) by family name first. In this case, names need to be reordered to be sorted properly. For example, Juan Hernandes and Brian O'Leary should be sorted as "Hernandes, Juan" and "O'Leary, Brian" even if they are not written this way. Capturing this rule in a computer collation algorithm is difficult, and simple attempts will necessarily fail. For example, unless the algorithm has at its disposal an extensive list of family names, there is no way to decide if "Gillian Lucille van der Waal" is "van der Waal, Gillian Lucille", "Waal, Gillian Lucille van der", or even "Lucille van der Waal, Gillian".

VEVO channels and YouTube spotlight

Should channels like YouTube spotlight and VEVO channels really be included in the "By subscribers" section? The title of this article is "List of YouTube personalities" (commonly referred to as "Youtubers"), so I don't think singers with VEVO channels fit into that category (let alone a channel that doesn't even upload its own videos). Top 50 youtubers graph 2005-present

On this article it would be interesting to see how the number of subscribers for the top 50 youtubers at any given time changed throughout the years on one neat graph - that would nicely show who reached the top spot, when, and for how long they stayed there, and of course the subscription rates would be clearly visible); needless to say - exclude music stars and TV personalities from this graph as they are not youtubers.

Un-notable mentions

Is there any particular reason why there are over 30 people in this list who don't have a wiki article for either themselves of their channel? I propose removing all such mentions on the grounds they lack sufficient notability, any objections? Freikorp (talk) 03:37, 8 November 2014 (UTC)

Notability is not defined as having an article, it's defined as sufficient coverage in sources, and only that such coverage exists, per WP:NRVE. The names which can cite sufficient coverage of the person in good sources are plausible redlinks. The ones where you can't find any coverage at all that meets the criteria in WP:N should probably all be removed. But if there are at least one or two sources that are substantial and independent, and cover the subject in depth, then they should be kept pending further discussion. Alternatively, seek consensus to redefine this list to only include subjects who have Wikipedia articles. --Dennis Bratland (talk) 04:10, 8 November 2014 (UTC)
