reprints[edit]

Cyclops: Retribution, and Colossus: God's Country are both reprints of material that originally appeared in Marvel Comics Presents. The rules at the top of the page state "no reprints." For what it's worth.

What to list[edit]

I'm debating certain titles to include on this list. Particularly, cossover miniseries, between teams, characters, and companies (X-Men Vs Fantastic Four, Elektra/Wolverine the Redemers, and X-Force/Youngblood, as examples in each category). Also, there're characters such as Firestar, who is by no means a traditional X-Character, but she is a mutant and her original 4-issue miniseries sees her as a member of Emma Frost's Hellions as they clash with the New Mutants. Should this be counted? Thoughts?

I believe Firestar should be added, at the end of the day the x-men appeared in the series which to me is justification. I have updated the list quite a bit tonight, adding alot of mini's/one shots. Incidently I added x-men vs F4 before reading the discussion, so you know what my thoughs on that are. I have also added alot of the house of M cross overs (F4: HoM, Ironman: HoM and Spiderman: HoM) as I see it as a major cross over. Let me know what you think of my changes, for or against.

I agree with the new Additions. We already have an article where some of the more major X-titles are listed so I think it's appropriate to add major appearances by x-characters and mutants in this list as well. Perhaps it would be better to have a sub-article specifically relating to x-men/mutant appearances in other comics though, but that’s your call unless someone else demands it.

“X-men First class” should be added to this list however.

Overhaul required?[edit]

There are quite a few comics that are listed that possibility shouldn't be. eg Deadpool and Alpha Flight. Although there are Mutants within Alpha Flight, are they considered X-Books? Deadpool has his own page that all his books should be listed in.

It states that minus one issues should not be listed. Why? The comics that were not published prior to and there for a part of an ongoing series and should be treated as a one-shot. The same should be said of 0 and 1/2 editions. eg Uncanny X-Men -1 (July 1997).

Should Annuals be listed here too? Annuals are not currently listed on this page or on the ongoing page but are just as important.

I've always thought of Annuals as kind of being specials from the ongoing series. I think we should split a lot of Wolverines publications into a separate article, like with Deadpool. Alpha Flight are not really X-Men series from my point of view. I'm not sure exactly what minus issues are.★Trekker (talk) 16:30, 3 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It might be a good idea to add Annuals to the Ongoing page so that they are listed. Splitting the Wolverine comics from the main X-Men list might be the way to go. That way, depending on the amount of limited series and one-shots left, they could all be listed on the one page much like the Spider-Man page.
In '97 Marvel produced quite a few one shots numbered as -1. Most Comic book resource sites will list them as part of the ongoing series of the time. If you look for Uncanny X-Men in Comic Collector Live, you will find that they have the -1 listed with the 1981 series. They have also done this to the Wolverine 1000 and Deadpool 900 issues. Table for more organized and sorted view.[edit]

I'm planning about creating a table so that this article can be more organized and easy to navigate/search books according to their release date(s). Following is the sample. Anyone's contribution and feedback would be appreciated. thanks
Note: These tables would only be for X-Men limited series. Other one-shots and limited series can still be kept as a list (but in sorted order?) as otherwise the tables would get too long.
