Re: the suggestion of merging Marcus Forrester into this page[edit]

The page for Marcus Forrester is bad, but hardly the worst of these Bold and the Beautiful character pages. I find the individual character pages useful for doing research on the show, but the information has to be taken with an entire shaker of salt. The writing is typically sloppy: spelling and syntactical errors abound, the verb tense is incorrect and the same information is repeated over and over as the writers just shoehorn in new plot information without an eye to the article as a whole. Plot information is just about all we get. Little if anything is said regarding why the writers created the character, what impact the character has had on the public (including non-fans) or how the character's history has been revised. The article writers like to pretend that when soap writers revise a character's history, the original history vanishes. I've tried to clean up some of this mess on a few of the pages, and my efforts have already met with resistance. If editors not only won't make the proper changes, but resist the efforts of others to make these changes, then the articles don't need to appear on Wikipedia at all. -- JustinSpurlin (talk) 05:28, 3 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Most characters should be merged here[edit]

I've looked at articles for secondary characters for this show and few meet WP:Notability (fiction) requirement. Here is my proposed merge. The other recourse is outright deletion. This stale proposal seems to become difficult to implement given a subsequent proposal to break up the minor character page into decade-long chunks. Perhaps all the Forrester pages could merge to Forrester family and the rest await the creation of the subpages, to which merges could then be considered. Mary Carter Warwick/Erica Lovejoy[edit]

A lot character pages, concerning The Bold and the Beautiful, need some major TLC. Unfortunately, that was given to The Young and the Restless back when the soap editing community was stronger! Keep, no merge (and the question is 'clean', not merge), I'm running across many pages marked for this discussion which aren't listed and are important pages (one which has its own well-stocked template).
