Removal of original research[edit]

In this edit I removed a number of notes from the episode list because I found most of them speculative or interpretive, which constitutes original research. Though "Fortress of Squalitude" is certainly a nod to Superman, that analysis should be coming from reliable secondary sources, not from our own brains. This is supported by WP:TVPLOT which states Meaning of pop cultural references should also not be included if they are not supported by citations of reliable secondary sources. There was other problematic content, like The plot of the episode is similar to a SpongeBob episode, "Krabs vs. Plankton" It's not our job to make comparisons to other series or episodes. "Similar" is subjective and requires personal interpretation, which again is WP:OR. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:13, 20 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Tails' Crush[edit]

The past several weeks have seen a persistent wave of edits who claim that Tails' crush in episode 40, titled "Tails' Crush", is really former Sonic character Cream the Rabbit. These edits have generally been reverted as addition of unsourced content about a future episode. Since the episode has just aired last Saturday (8/22), I can verify that the name of Tails' crush in the episode is not Cream, but it is in fact a new character named Zoe. As a result, any edits which purport that the crush is Cream should be reverted on sight as vandalism (deliberate insertion of misinformation, at this point). Episodes 1 and 2 match up but some of the others do not. Do we have refs to support the number assignment to what exists as the primary number in those in conflict? For now I'll list these as alt numbers below the current prime ones but given that the references for these episodes' air dates only appear to be template:cite episode something more substantial should be produced. 184.145.18.50 (talk) 21:39, 17 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Recurring themes[edit]

I am wondering, after the main list, if we could also include secondary lists which monitor any recurring themes within the series. Things which are obvious nods to predecessors, like when Sonic is shown eating a chili dog (SatAM) or Amy Rose's affection for Sonic is indicated. Things like these aren't central enough to the plot to be mentioned in the short summary (well, except Amy Rose wanting Tails' robot destroyed so it won't reveal her feelings) but are still useful to document. 184.145.18.50 (talk) 17:31, 23 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Citing an episode[edit]

Are we supposed to use the people in the "written by" column for first= and last=? I see this done on the main article. It seems more useful when quoting to actually specify which character is saying something. People can easily look up the writers or voice actors if they need to. 184.145.18.50 (talk) 18:27, 23 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Showdown caps[edit]

I saw this was listed as "Bro Down Showdown" and while that's what I saw listed on my PVR, it doesn't actually reflect what is in the title card, which should be the prime authority on how we should spell a title.

In this case the title card is "BRO-DOWN SHOWDOWN" (seen here) and since we lowercase these all-caps titles, this sometimes brings up questions for how to do it.

For example, while it is clear we would keep the B capitalized, it is not clear whether or not the D should be lowercased. This led to me following the TV guide format "Bro Down" to make "Bro-Down", but I realize this was in error. You can see from the closed captions that it is "Bro-down", the D is not capitalized. Until there is some other guideline for how to lowercase BRO-DOWN, I think we should go with this. 184.145.18.50 (talk) 22:34, 2 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
