Gary Vidal[edit]

Is Gary Vidal actually Metis? The articles that record his electoral win do not mention him being Metis, which would be important considering the coverage of similar districts (Nunavut ran 3 Inuk women and the coverage reflects this), but Vidal was written as being the non-indigenous victor in a majority-indigenous district. Where is the information that supports this claim? https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/canada/conservative-gary-vidal-wins-majority-indigenous-northern-sask-riding/ar-AAJaPBx https://globalnews.ca/news/6069450/conservative-gary-vidal-ottawa/ Ornithoptera (talk) 04:43, 13 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Add indigenous Premiers of the territories[edit]

The article clarifies that Wab Kinew and John Norquay were provincial premiers so maybe we should also list territorial premiers. Richard Nerysoo was the first indigenous Premier for a territory and would be the first First Nations Premier in Canada. Carolyn Cochrane is Metis and is the current premier of the NWT. 38.18.134.194 (talk) 04:40, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
