Untitled[edit]

I'm thinking we could make each season a different color, based on the colors of the Gummi Bear characters. Wouldn't that be interesting? Or each a different color, to make it easier to read through. Dream Focus 18:04, 2 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

From youngest to oldest, I did their colors. Pink for Cubbi, Yellow for Sunni, blue for Tummi, brown for Gruffi, orange for Grammi, and purple for Zummi. Dream Focus 22:28, 2 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Season one isn't listing all the episodes, plus names are changed, and order[edit]

I notice Season 1 doesn't list all 15 episodes. I check the list at http://www.tv.com/Gummi+Bears/show/3534/episode.html?season=1&tag=paginator;1 and it has them listed in a different order, and some by different names. The official Disney site doesn't list the episodes, even though the first few seasons are now on sale on DVD Dream Focus 22:37, 2 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The TV.com listing is wrong - it uses the jumbled-up syndication order which was used for The Disney Afternoon and all subsequent North American (U.S./Canada) cable reruns. However, it maps original network airdates onto this mixed-up order, which is completely incorrect.

I have painstakingly worked to correct the episode order using: 1.) The order on the DVD set for seasons 1-3; 2.) The international rerun order for seasons 1-5 (which is still used when it has rerun on European cable channels, and which matches the U.S. network order for seasons 1-5); 3.) An actual Disney Afternoon broadcast chronology, which someone put up on Usenet in the early 90s, and which I found on Google Groups, for Season 6 (which debuted on TDA - meaning that, since TDA used that jumbled-up order I already mentioned, the 11-minute episodes from season 6 premiered mixed together with older episodes; that's why I list them alone, as opposed to being grouped into two half-hours, as they were in international airings).

I am also an IMDB contributor, and am in the process of correcting the episode order there (it's not done yet and won't be for a while).

Perhaps the TV.com link should be removed from References, since it uses an incorrect order which does not accurately reflect which episodes originally aired when.

I also think the "production codes" should be removed, because the production order differs from both the network order and the syndication order, and I cannot find production numbers for all the episodes on the U.S. Copyright Office website (the ones currently up now are just numbered by season and air number). --76.205.141.231 (talk) 17:02, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Does anyone know the order the episodes are in, on the DVD collection?[edit]

Revised - accurate U.S. broadcast order[edit]

I recently found the accurate U.S. broadcast order, on Bill Cotter's supplemental CD-ROM for his book "The Wonderful World of Disney Television." It turns out that many weeks had only one new 11-minute segment, coupled with a repeat. Thus, I split up all the segments so that each one is individually numbered and dated. I also added the episode numbers and "a" and "b" segment designations for Disney's official/international episode order (i.e., the order used when the show was broadcast outside of North America, as well as on the DVD set).

I did make sure to clarify that the 94 separate episodes do make up 65 half-hours, whether you use the Disney Afternoon groupings or Disney's official "international order" groupings.

S6 a/b section seems wrong - some are full length[edit]

On the Eastern European DVD, "A gummi's work is never done" and "Once more, the crimson avenger" are 22 minute stories, so that means they are full length episodes instead of halves. The associated half/11-minute stories appear on that set as: "Friar Tum & Never give a gummi an even break" and "Zummi in slumberland & A recipe for trouble". While a long story could conceivably be abridged, I don't really see how the first two could appear as 1a and 7a on the original US list. This would give episodes one and seven a 33 minutes runtime?? PS And "Zummi in slumberland" is a half-episode, but it's currently listed as the entire fourth episode. Similar for "Never give a Gummi an even break". It really makes almost no sense that that last episode of 11 minutes should belong with the 5th season. It makes much more sense for season 6 to have a total of 4 half-stories = 2 episodes.
