"Description" section of article[edit]

Misattribution[edit]

From the article: "The game is similar to Dutch Blitz, which is based upon the original 1960s Ligretto." This is incorrect, and cited the German wiki article which does not state this, but rather states that Ligretto is based on Dutch Blitz: "Dutch Blitz ist heute besonders unter den Pennsylvania-Deutschen wie den Amischen beliebt und geht auf den deutschen Auswanderer Werner Ernst George Müller zurück, der das Spiel 1959 erfand, um Kindern ein besseres Zahlen- und Farbverständnis zu vermitteln." 2601:248:C480:AD60:5D1B:D4D8:9823:10AA (talk) 14:14, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Gender-neutral confusion[edit]

The misguided attempt in this article to override clear instructions with gender-neutral prepositions and possessives is likely to leave the reader confused as to how to play the game in contravention of Wiki guidance on the subject e.g. "the players get double penalty points for each of the cards remaining on their stacks" is vague and begs the question "which players?" "whose stacks?" "do I get penalty points based on card remaining in other player's stacks?" Bermicourt (talk) 07:57, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Contradicting/confusing information[edit]

Can anyone verify when Dutch Blitz was invented? Sources online say anywhere from 1937 (according to the wikipedia page, which has no citations), to the 1970s. Also, multiple German websites cited Rasender Teufel (translated to Raging Devil) as an early inspiration -- does anyone know if this is the same game as Nerts (otherwise known as Racing Demon in the UK)? 267 02:54, 29 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
