LAAR vs LAS[edit]

This article conflates the LAS and LAAR programs. The LAS (Light Air Support) is Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation #FA8637-10-R-6000. This is the program that the AT-6 lost and that the Super Tucano won. The LAAR (Light Attack/Armed Reconnaissance) Request for Information (RFI) is presolicitation #Light_Attack_Armed_Reconnaissance_(LAAR). Neither of these should be confused with the Advanced Flight Trainer / Light Attack Aircraft (AFT/LAA), Sources Sought solicitation #FA8615-10-R-ZZ01. --Donbock (talk) 19:19, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Additional Information[edit]

I was going to add the armament and performance specifications for the competing aircraft, but as another user said it might be better if I were to leave that info on the Planes dedicated wiki pages. Regardless should we put links to the corporations "Light Attack/Armed Reconnaissance" websites dedicated to the competition in a references section? For example http://www.802u.com/ is the Air Tractor page for the AT-802U while Boeing has an OV-10X brochure that has been distributed to the public.

Also should we write a basic description for the A-67 and the M-346. Compared to the others they seem to be lacking.--Lostend (talk) 18:18, 6 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you have links to the aircraft's specific page, feel free to link them in the Light_Attack/Armed_Reconnaissance#External_links section. If you have a source, and can cite it, feel free to add desctiptions of the A-67 and the M-346.
