Nicknames

After checking every available book on the history of the club and talking to fans old and new, it is clear that Leyton Orient have never had the nicknames 'The Cockneys', 'The Far East(enders)' or 'The Wyverns'. A wyvern first featured on the club's badge over 30 years ago and was replaced a few years later by two wyverns. At no point did this affect the names by which the club was known.195.195.199.55 13:40, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

There is a Wikipedia entry about Leyton Orient F.C. managers as a category which needs linking to this current article but I am not able to find how to do it right now. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Leyton_Orient_F.C._managersStranger on the shore 17:04, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

Departures

Various users have removed the released players from the squad listings. It's not vandalism, though this does makes things quite untidy. Clarifying this in their edit summary would help, if they're reading this! Paulbrock 18:27, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

Porridge

I have removed the link from Notable supporters to Popular Culture Section but failed to make the link to the Porridge film, if you can improve this section by better wiki editing than I have managed please do so. Some significant tidying up of this article is needed by a Wikipedia User with an understanding of Leyton Orient and a better editing skills than me.Stranger on the shore (talk) 02:08, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

Only top flight season 'double' over West Ham

I've edited the later 20th century section, which incorrectly said that Orient did the double over West Ham in their only top flight season. Actually, they each won their home match 2-0. Bearing in mind the fairly recent return to the original name of Leyton Orient, is there any reason why searches for 'Orient FC' do not re-direct to this entry? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.97.45.17 (talk) 10:45, 7 July 2011 (UTC)

Well spotted. It should redirect now, as should Clapton Orient FC for good measure. Cheers, Bretonbanquet (talk) 17:45, 7 July 2011 (UTC)

I have removed the unofficial highest attendance (unofficial 63,000 v Manchester City[9] FA Cup 6th rnd 6 March 1926) as the Times of 8th March 1926 reports that "the crowd , as a result of a decision to double the usual charge for admission to the 'popular' side of the ground, did not exceed 25,000" .Frankbon83 (talk) 17:17, 12 November 2011 (UTC)
