Fair use rationale for Image:Hawkwind-levitation.jpg[edit]

Image:Hawkwind-levitation.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Full gig?[edit]

According to the listing for this gig on the Starfarer website, what Atomhenge has listed for the forthcoming release is incomplete. Curiously, "Master of the Universe" is not listed, even though it has previously been released as the B-side to "Motorway City" and on the Hawkwind Anthology. Very curiously, Atomhenge are also stating that Michael Moorcock is on these recordings, which all the reports I've previously seen contradict, which makes me wonder whether some of these recordings are the studio recordings from Zones (album)? Well I've paid Atomhenge direct (although pre-order at Play was cheaper I found out later) so a week or so time we'll have the answer!--C Hawke (talk) 20:07, 18 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
My version arrived this morning, I had a quick listen and read of the notes. Moorcock is listed as vocals on just one track Running Through the Back Brain (Messages)" and the notes, written by Brian Tawn, state he guested at two concerts on the tour (so not just a tape or phone call), this being one of them, a quick listed to the track and it sounds live, but I can't say who is singing. But given the source of the notes and the band's involvement, I'd say other sources were wrong. --C Hawke (talk) 08:38, 28 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It seems obvious that 1. this isn't the full concert (even Brainstorm is edited), and 2. the "live" versions of some of the tracks are the studio versions from Zones. Fair enough, but I wish Atomhenge would be a little more honest about these things. See starfarer. - Drwhawkfan (talk) 20:13, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment comment[edit]

The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Levitation (Hawkwind album)/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

Comment(s)Press [show] to view →
Start:
  • Green tickY A reasonably complete infobox
  • Green tickY A lead section giving an overview of the album
  • Green tickY A track listing
  • Green tickY Reference to at least primary personnel by name (must specify performers on the current album; a band navbox is insufficient)
  • Green tickY Categorisation at least by artist and year

C:

  • Green tickY All the start class criteria
  • Red XN A reasonably complete infobox, including cover art
  • Green tickY At least one section of prose (in addition to the lead section)
  • Green tickY A track listing containing track lengths and authors for all songs
  • Green tickY A "personnel" section listing performers, including guest musicians.

B:

  • Red XN All the C class criteria
  • Red XN A completed infobox, including cover art and most technical details
  • Green tickY A full list of personnel, including technical personnel and guest musicians
  • ? No obvious issues with sourcing, including the use of blatantly improper sources.
  • ? No significant issues exist to hamper readability, although it may not rigorously follow WP:MOS
Requires cover art to move into C-class — Drwhawkfan (talk) 11:09, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
