Name before Leo Tolstoy[edit]

Did this district exist before Leo Tolstoy became famous? And if it did, does anyone know its previous name? Randee15 (talk) 17:38, 9 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

All modern Russian districts were created in the 1920s or later. This particular district was established in 1928 as Astapovsky District (Астаповский район) and was given its present name somewhere between 1928 and 1931, so yes, the name postdates the person by quite a bit.
