Bob Seger versions[edit]

It really is hard to tell about WP:SONGCOVER.

The article for Little Richard's song "Hey-Hey-Hey-Hey!" includes these lines:

"Hey-Hey-Hey-Hey" was recorded by Bob Seger during the recording session that produced his cover of Fats Domino's "Blue Monday" for the 1989 Road House soundtrack album. Seger's take remained unreleased until 2011, when it was released as the lead single on the retrospective album Ultimate Hits: Rock and Roll Never Forgets.[5]

So I figured it would be valid to add these lines to this article:

Bob Seger included his version of the song on his 1972 album Smokin' O.P.'s. A live version of the song appears on the 1976 album Live Bullet.

However, my addition was removed on the grounds of WP:SONGCOVER. Live Bullet sold a lot more copies than his Ultimate Hits album; it's been certified in US by RIAA as 5x Platinum. I strongly suspect more listeners have heard Seger's cover than Berry's original. PatConolly (talk) 04:21, 29 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
