Untitled comment[edit]

I deleted the additions from 23 June 2007, because they were poorly written, poorly integrated into the article, and unsubstantiated as far as I could discover. Haverpopper 06:31, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Life and career[edit]

Hutch is remembered and people write biographies and make television programmes about him for two reasons: his music and his sociologically fascinating life. Both should be reflected in the article. Personally his bisexuality (read the biography! - see here[1]) only makes me think better of him. Bisexuality is normal. In 2008, let's drop the dumb homophobia. In 2010, let's drop the dumb heterophobia. Why his sexual orientation would make him any better or worse as a person is beyond me. I guess only "homophobephobes" can explain that. How hypocritical can one get?-- 84.180.187.143 (talk) 16:49, 13 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Funeral[edit]

"Only thirty people attended his funeral."

I would be amazed if 30 people showed up at my funeral.--EchetusXe (talk) 15:46, 22 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He was a major star who was rumoured to have had affairs with many members of the royal family and members of high society and so it is rather amazing that only 39 attended his funeral. 安東尼 TALKies 22:09, 25 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The more recent edits over this could become a contender for WP:LAME. The documentary said 30 people turned up, the Daily Mail article, which is what we can most easily reference, says 42, so I'm sticking with 42. I'd be dead happy if 30 turned up to mine. <<<That's a JOKE, geddit....? Ghmyrtle (talk) 15:42, 26 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rumors and Facts[edit]

Please make sure rumors and myths are distinguished from facts. Whether he was a bisexual or had relationships with high status individuals can be only be written as a fact if there is 1st hand evidence to prove them, such as his own direct recorded confession, or the admittance of the individuals directly participating in the sexual acts. Any other accounts can only qualify as rumors. --93.97.181.187 (talk) 17:48, 28 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, right. I suppose Noel Coward wasn't gay either - it was just a nasty rumour -Sticks66 13:59, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
