Feedback[edit]

Fact check on the tank being submersible. Other than this wiki page, there is no reference to this tank having any submersible capabilities. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.45.3.199 (talk) 18:37, 12 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It is mentioned on the Leopard 2 page: The commander's hatch can be extended with a chimney-like snorkel, where the commander can climb up inside and peek out, and where the engine pulls air from. Enough to wade into 4m deep water, i.e. the tank drives on the river bed. There is no reason to assume that this feature would have changed in any way in the PL variant.--OBrian (talk) 21:30, 13 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

G'day, saw your post on Milhist talk, great job on this thus far. We had Leopard 1s here in Australia before we went to the M1A1 Abrams in 2007. Some comments:

  • citations should be after the punctuation not before
  • what units are these modernised Leopards being used by? Or planned to be used by?
  • I'll go through and do a light copy edit tomorrow and make some more suggestions.

G'day, thanks for your efforts with this article. In addition to PM's suggestions, I'd suggest expanding the lead to summarise the article completely. Additionally, everything that is in the infobox (as a general rule) should be mentioned in the body of the article with a reference. Good luck with taking the article further. I also suggest briefly introducing the background to the original purchase of the Leopard 2 by Poland and adding a sentence about it to the lead. Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 01:16, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, on reflection, in addition to a mention in the lead, it really needs a Background section which summarises the history of the Leopard 2 in Polish service from the acquisition of the A4s in the mid-2000s, the second tranche of tanks acquired in 2013 or thereabouts and up until this project began. Once that is done, I'd be happy to provide further feedback. Just ping me using {{u|Peacemaker67}}. Cheers, Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 06:57, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
