Orlando Bloom[edit]
Why don't you put picture? Patriciamontazaah (talk) 06:09, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
- There's already a picture of Orlando Bloom in the article. Sierrak28 (talk) 06:12, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
- Because this article is about Legolas. Blooms picture is in the portrayals section, because that’s what he did, he portrayed him. GimliDotNet (talk) 06:35, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
Weapon Photo[edit]
I think being a fan of the character, (specifically the Orlando Bloom movie portrayal) a big part of Legolas is his weapons, obviously from what I know from the movie he starts his journey with the fellowship using his Miirkwood bow, and then when in Lothlorian is gifted a bow of the Galadhrim by Galadriel. This is consistent with the books I believe so I'm curious as to the etiquette for posting pictures with copyrights and such as I would like to implement some pictures of bows into the article (and possibly the two silver daggers he uses in the film as well). Let me know.EliteArcher88 (talk) 00:04, 23 January 2020 (UTC)

Comments[edit]
1.
- Isn't Elves a proper noun in Tolkien's writings? I think all instances of Elf, Elves, or Elvish should probably be capitalized then, although I may be wrong.
- Done.
- Hollin can be linked to the Geography of Middle-earth article.
- Done.
- "Legolas helped fend off an attack by Saruman's wolves" - Maybe this is a little crufty and nitpicky, but weren't they technically wargs?
- Done, and linked.
- Link the first instance of dwarf to Dwarf (Middle-earth)
- Done.
- Link Saruman at the first mention, not the second
- Done.
- I think Orcs should be capitalized, as it's technically a proper noun in-universe
- Done.
- Silvan Elves is a duplink
- Fixed.
- Nazgul is a duplink
- Fixed.
- Rivendell is a duplink
- Fixed.
2.
- IMDB is user-generated and is not a reliable source
- Replaced.
- "Legolas is absent from the 1980 animated version of The Return of the King, but was voiced by David Collings in the 1981 BBC Radio 4 adaptation.[7]" - The bit about the 1980 film doesn't seem to be in the ref.
- Removed.
- Normally blogspot isn't a great ref, but the author, Brian Sibley, seems to be a well-qualified person, if Brian Sibley is the same person.
- Yes, it's him, and he's authorlinked.
- Ref 11 is flagging some sort of formatting error, not sure what the issue is.
- Fixed.
- The proper nouns in here would be: Elf, Elves, Elvish, any names, Dwarf (s), King, Queen (Followed by a name, otherwise it is not proper.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2603:6010:8F0E:3A3F:20FE:A4D0:AB49:79BF (talk) 13:24, 21 December 2020 (UTC)

Placing on hold, just a few issues to deal with. Good work. I've made a couple tweaks to the infobox, you might want to look over those. Hog Farm (talk) 00:06, 5 June 2020 (UTC)
