I have gone back to the image of the Town Hall rather than the montage which had replaced it. I am not against a montage per se, but it needs to be of much better quality than the one which was given, and should have better alt text. For a start, there shouldn't be more than 4 or 5 pictures, to avoid too much loss of detail and a cluttered look. They should also be something that Leeds is recognised for - images like the inside of The Light are a bit 'meh' in my opinion. Have a look at London for on that is decent. I see that a drive-by anon IP has contributed to the gradual deterioration of this article (without any discussion here) by substituting his/her favourite images because (I presume) they are THE BEST. Another has followed this up in a similar manner. Can anything be done - other than reverting - about this recurring problem? --GuillaumeTell 16:23, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

To truly represent the city, we should work towards a montage for the top image. I agree though, an image of The Light is not suitable. I would nominate the Town Hall, Bridgewater Place, one shopping landmark (VQ, markets, Corn Exchange?) and a skyline image. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.122.199.160 (talk) 22:49, 18 April 2011 (UTC)

I would support the replacement of the montage image. Perhaps the Canal Gardens or such would also be nice on such a montage. Mtaylor848 (talk) 11:58, 29 April 2011 (UTC)
What would you replace it with? At one time all the images had really good "Alt text". I think anyone replacing images should also supply alt text with the new image, otherwise we have no chance of getting the article to GA status.--Harkey (talk) 17:41, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

By 'replacing' I mean making it the lead image again rather than the other possible meaning. 92.41.245.143 (talk) 16:03, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
