Redundant articles[edit]

First, there is a List of baseball jargon entry for "leadoff hitter." That belongs there and provides a good definition with two usages.

Second, there is this WP article "Leadoff hitter," which has an inadequate definition, then a list of historical leadoff hitters (a marginal list-making exercise, IMO).

Third, there is another WP article, "Lead off," which has an OK definition but it's nothing more than that.

My recommendation is that the two WP "articles" be deleted and that we let the List of baseball jargon do its work as a glossary since the term leadoff hitter is appropriate there in any case.--Mack2 (talk) 13:53, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

notables[edit]

Eventually, I will post a list of all-time leaders in games started leading off and replace it with the current list of notables - taking it from a POV list to a list with data. But I am too busy at the moment to complete this task. Kingturtle (talk) 20:05, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Revamped page[edit]

I noticed that the previous version of the leadoff hitter page was considered to be unencyclopedic and contained "original research," so I decided to change up the strategy section of the page dramatically. Is it better now? Didi666 (talk) 16:22, 22 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
