Is that psychology?[edit]

Is that psychology, or physiology? Makes sense that, with 1G horizontal, ie pushing you into your seat, you're going to feel like you're laying on your back. But then with 1G vertical, ie the actual Earth's gravity, it should average out at about 45 degrees. So you've feel like you're laid back at 45 degrees, with your knees pointing up towards the sky.

That's not so much psychological, it's physical. Your inner ears are letting you down. But then so would any mechanical measure of direction, eg a weight on a string would point the same way. So it's not psychological, not a trick of the mind. It's arguably physiological, of the body. But since it would affect mechanical devices too, it's a real physical process. So maybe a new term needs thinking up.
