HW for Latin Encounters.

After clicking on the history tab for this page I noticed it starts form the early to mid 1900s then jumps to the 1980's. I wish it would include earlier LatinJovi KB (talk) 23:23, 7 September 2017 (UTC) music perhaps from indigenous perspectives. The page also emphasizes pop sensations and does not highlight much of other genres. I hope to see this incorporated on the page as well. Addition of content

I would like to propose adding the artist Natalia Lafourcade and Cuco to the Article for the two have made a significant impact on the music industry. Content over the background of the two artist will be discussed thoroughly and also what drives the two into creating music for the world to hear. The two artist represent their respective genre of music, indie and folk, it is essential to add content about the genres for the two genres have little to no representation in the article. Information over their careers will further define the impact of their music in the United States and I believe adding the information will help the reader understand more clearly the influence of Latin American Music in the United States, in the aspect of both the artist and as the audience. Additionally, understanding the motivation of the artist will encourage the reader to understand that music created by artist have a deep meaning and a message is being expressed through the voice of the artist.

Thank you for taking the time to read my proposal!Toasty hombre (talk) 13:47, 29 March 2019 (UTC)

I propose that within this article we add the importance of Luis Fonsi’s “Despasito” and the effect it had on the revival and recent growth it had on Latin pride in terms of music on a global scale with their billboard song, I believe this is important because within the already written article there was no little mention of important contemporary musicians and the article mainly focused on the old and established musicians rather than recent ones. The way I propose adding this content through the important factors such as the rewards they got for their songs and the importance on having those songs empower the Latin American communities worldwide. The importance of Fonsi’s Grammy wins and his Remix’s nominations show the recent acceptance of Latin music on a global scale and the need for a genre to fill that void that was inly recently seen with the release of Despasito. — Preceding unsigned comment added by The Legend 27 killed me (talkcontribs) 01:55, 30 March 2019 (UTC)

I would propose for there to be a reference as to how "Cuco" or Omar Banos the artist, represents Hispanic people as said on the Cuco section of the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DairaZapata17 (talkcontribs) 04:57, 3 April 2019 (UTC)

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Latin American music in the United States's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 19:37, 30 August 2019 (UTC)
