Women's Bathroom and the Last NES Ninja[edit]

I've played 'The Last Ninja' on the NES, so would anyone mind if I added that? Also, mention of interesting jokes and the strange gameplay would be interesting. For example, there is one level with washrooms. You're not able to enter the male but you can enter the female, and if you walk around a bit and click, you hear a toilet flush and you get a special item (I can't remember which though). Split it up and then have a The Last Ninja Series page aswell[edit]

Personally I think The Last Ninja series should be split up! All the info is there. It just needs to follow a games template.

I agree. A lot of Wikipedia gaming entries have tried to fit whole series into a single entry (see also Shadow of the Beast) but I think this doesn't really work. It would be better if Last Ninja 2 and Last Ninja 3 had their own entries with maybe the information about the forthcoming/cancelled Last Ninja 4 being mentioned on the Last Ninja 3 entry. General[edit]

Can someone add info on what differentiates last ninja 2 vs the remix? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.248.39.183 (talk) 16:07, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

CoCo 3 version finally seen.[edit]

We finally got to see the unreleased CoCo 3 version at this year's CoCoFest. Pics here: http://web.mac.com/allenhuffman/iWeb/CoCoFest/The%20Last%20Ninja.html (but that's just a temp page for the time being, and will go away.) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Allenhuffman (talkcontribs) 04:23, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Inconsistence[edit]

first it says:

the development company (still System 3) does not seem to give much information in regard to the development status [of Last Ninja 4]. Current rumours surrounding the status of the project indicate it has again been cancelled.

then, after a few lines:

# Last Ninja 4: Xbox and Nintendo GameCube (scheduled), planned but uncertain: PlayStation 2, Game Boy Advance, PC

doesn't make any sense to me. Either it's "scheduled and planned" or "the company does not give informations, maybe it's cancelled".

Cleanup[edit]

I think the article needs cleaning up a bit, especially in regards to citing sources. The references section would also need to be added if your citing sources.

"Confusingly, the 16-bit versions of the original The Last Ninja game were also released in 1990 as Ninja Remix."

-- wasn't the remix released on 8-bit computers as well?

"The Commodore 64 version of Last Ninja Remix appeared as a cartridge for the 64GS, but the existence of Last Ninja 3 has yet to be confirmed."

-- Is this correct, I always thought that the remix was released on cassette/disk and I remember seeing the Zzap!64 Last Ninja 3 review and that was the cartridge version. -- Nreive 13:46, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's not correct, Last Ninja 3 was released in 1991, and it was indeed reviewed in issue 71.
This should be edited (by someone who, unlike me, isn't afraid of editing wikipedia)

Fair use rationale for Image:LastNinja-c64 cover01.jpg[edit]

Image:LastNinja-c64 cover01.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Cover versions[edit]

I'd really like to rid this article of the section promoting Puffy64's "cover album." Not only is it shameless self-promotion, but the "album" itself doesn't even cover the entire soundtrack, and the sound quality and playing on it is mediocre at best. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TorbenFrost (talkcontribs) 08:31, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Last Ninja 3 & Last Ninja 2 - full name[edit]

Can we stop calling Last Ninja 3 'Last Ninja 3: Real Hatred is Timeless' and Last Ninja 2 'Last Ninja 2: Back With A Vengeance'. I've got the originals and although mentioned on the box they are NOT part of the title, and using them makes the game sound a bit pretentious.

The correct titles of the released games are:

The Last Ninja
Last Ninja 2
Last Ninja 3
Last Ninja Remix

The result of the move request was: The Last Ninja (series) moved to Last Ninjawbm1058 (talk) 17:43, 3 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

– No obvious claim to primariness for the game. Per WP:NCVGDAB, the series should take precedence as the main article. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 07:00, 31 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Weak oppose. An ngram analysis suggests that the initial game gains the most interest from readers of all the topics, including the series and the sequel games. I think you could also make a case that the overall series should be called "Last Ninja series" or similar, without "The", per the names of the subsequent games and e.g. [1].  — Amakuru (talk) 12:43, 8 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose as nominated, but support the alternative series move to simply Last Ninja. It is separated from the first game via WP:THE and provides WP:NATURAL disambiguation to both. A hat would be needed whichever way it is carried out. -2pou (talk) 21:03, 8 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Would also support this as well. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 16:34, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
